Principles and Values

Solidarity
Is expressed between members who save and members who borrow the money. Furthermore, cooperation among the satellite offices is developed.

Proximity
Human size satellite offices helps to build real relationship which is developed between the member and the Cooperatives, based on reciprocal trust.

Equality
Each member is considered equal, without taking into account the social or wealth level. Same conditions apply to all.

Transparency
Is mainly ensured thanks to the control of members through general assemblies and audit committees, highly performing banking software and strict internal audit.

Security
Savings is used to provide Credit. Money of savings is not invested outside the cooperative while money being borrowed by members is coming from the savings only. Also to be mentioned that thanks to its banking expertise, MSCCP portfolio at risks (PAR) is among the lowest that exist in this activity.

Autonomy
No outside investing or refinancing. The business is based on the "save first" principle. Money used is the saving of the members and the reinvestment of surplus which is not distributed but kept within the community. Doing so, the network aims to reach sustainability to ensure financial and technical independency.

Democracy
Members participate economically with a capital share of 50 pesos. They participate as well in decision-making by voting during the annual general assembly meeting and by electing representatives. Any member can participate, whatever the social or economical level. 1vote=1person.

Professionalism
MSCCP benefits from the great expertise of the well known French cooperative Bank, Credit Mutuel, thru its non-profit organization. (CICM). MSCCP ensures security and a high quality of service, thanks to banking software, skilled employees and well-trained elected members.

Social Responsibilities
as of today, 26% of the Filipino population has accress to banking services. MSCCP promote financial education and sustainability of its members. Doing so, it wants to contribute to the economic and social development of the country.
